The CALIUM Exchange is provided within the CALIVERSE service, and users can acquire CALIUM by paying costs on the server without a separate blockchain signature. When CALIUM is issued in this manner, an Off-Chain event transaction occurs and is loaded into the CALIUM database.
The CALIUM database generates statistical data for CALIUM through a pre-defined logic by the Authorized Scheduler, which is authorized by the HSM (Hardware Security Module) on an Epoch basis. Additionally, the Authorized Scheduler performs the task of ultimately recording the generated Epoch-based CALIUM statistical data onto the On-Chain smart contract.
The process of recording CALIUM's statistical data from Off-Chain to the On-Chain smart contract is called CALIVERSE Roll-up. Once the data of CALIUM is confirmed and recorded On-Chain in this way, it becomes impossible to tamper with the data due to the technical characteristics of the blockchain.
CALIVERSE provides the statistical data of CALIUM recorded On-Chain in Epoch units through the official website and utilizes this data in the following ways:
The main blockchain technologies applied to the CALIUM Eco-System are as follows:
Event transactions from the metaverse server (Off-Chain) are loaded into the statistical database and are regularly recorded onto the smart contract On-Chain.
The recorded data is then sent back to the metaverse server, allowing the entire service to utilize blockchain technology directly or indirectly.
Roll-up refers to a method of executing transactions outside of the blockchain and only recording the results as a bundle on the blockchain.
CALIVERSE Roll-up also utilizes the method of bundling event transactions generated from the metaverse server and then recording the corresponding data on the smart contract on the blockchain.
A smart contract is a representative blockchain technology that refers to a method of executing tasks using pre-defined contract code in contracts deployed on the blockchain.
The security, reliability, and transparency are guaranteed according to the network where the smart contract is deployed.
CALIUM On-Chain Information utilizes the smart contract that performs CALIVERSE Roll-up deployed on Abitrum One Network.
The transaction hash (Tx Hash) executed through the smart contract can be queried through ARBISCAN (http://arbiscan.io/).
The Authorized Scheduler is the entity (software) that performs the roll-up and plays an important role in the CALIUM Eco-System. The roll-up collects Off-Chain data according to a specified timeline to generate and store data. The stored data is signed with an HSM key that has admin privileges and is recorded in the smart contract through a blockchain transaction. This roll-up data is used as the Inflation Weight for the next Epoch, making this procedure very important.
The authority to write roll-up data to the smart contract is held by the admin specified in the smart contract, and the key with this authority is securely stored in the HSM. Access to the HSM system is granted only to the Authorized Scheduler. The Authorized Scheduler requests transaction signatures for the roll-up from the HSM and sends the transaction to the roll-up contract after receiving the signature value.
CALIUM On-Chain Information confirms the server data of the centralized network by recording it on a decentralized network on an Epoch basis through the Authorized Scheduler, and utilizes the data recorded On-Chain to confirm key information such as the CALIUM Price and the amount of reward CALIUM.
Therefore, during the service, network issues between on-chain and Off-Chain, service inspections, or failures of the Authorized Scheduler may occur, and in such cases, continuous and stable service environments are provided through exception handling.
The CALIVERSE metaverse was publicly opened on August 29, 2024 (UTC). Since the Initial Issuance Volume was allocated to contributors in line with the public opening date, the Standard Supply on the public opening date was set as 1 Epoch.
However, the functionality updates for the CALIUM Eco-System will proceed according to the development schedule, and the Epoch at the time of the update will be determined later. At that time, the CALIUM data on the server will be manually reflected once by taking a snapshot.
Therefore, the CALIUM statistical data that is actually recorded On-Chain will be available for review from the time of the update.
CALIUM On-Chain Information is scheduled for an update in January 2025, at which time the contents described in this document may take effect.
